Mission
At the Save Lives Foundation, we are driven by an unwavering commitment to create a world where compassion, education, and empowerment serve as the cornerstones of change. Our foundation emerged from the crucible of personal adversity, a testament to the transformative power of kindness and solidarity.
Story of the founder
Motivated solely by a desire to improve the world through acts of kindness, I launched the foundation with no ulterior motives. Growing up as a young girl in Liberia west Africa, I understood firsthand the challenges that many face without the necessary support. Schooling, in particular, proved to be an uphill battle. I knew the struggle of being sent home due to unpaid fees, enduring an entire school year with just one uniform, and resorting to street vending to provide for oneself and one's family.
Life grew even tougher as a young person, as I found myself selling on the streets to put food on the table and clothes on my back. In the midst of these efforts, I encountered harrowing experiences—numerous attempts of rape and sexual assault perpetrated by men who saw me as vulnerable while I was simply striving to make a living and complete my education. Throughout these trials, I remained voiceless, trapped in a situation with no one to confide in.
The Save Lives Foundation, borne from the crucible of these hardships, stands as a beacon of hope for those trapped in the cycle of adversity. Our unwavering mission is to empower and uplift those who lack a voice, to provide the support and resources that were absent during my own struggles. Through this foundation, we strive to shed light on the darkness that shrouds the lives of so many, offering a helping hand and a compassionate heart to those who need it most. Each act of kindness, every contribution, and all our efforts are dedicated to creating a world where no one has to endure the silence of suffering alone.
Since its inception on October 30, 2019, the foundation has grown into a network of dedicated individuals, both locally and globally, who share in the belief that even the smallest gestures can have a profound impact. We have provided educational scholarships, access to counseling and mental health support, and vocational training to those striving to break free from the cycle of poverty. By creating safe spaces and platforms for dialogue, we aim to empower survivors of assault and abuse, giving them the tools to regain their voice and reclaim their lives.
Our journey is far from over. With each passing day, the Save Lives Foundation continues to expand its reach, advocating for systemic change and working towards a future where the streets no longer dictate one's destiny. Through education, empowerment, and compassion, we strive to turn the tide for those who once felt invisible, proving that the smallest ripples of kindness can create waves of transformation that touch countless lives.
As we press forward, the stories of those we've touched serve as a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. We have seen young girls who once sold goods on the streets now donning school uniforms, armed with books and dreams of a brighter future. We have witnessed survivors of trauma find solace and healing through our support, blossoming into advocates for change in their communities. Our commitment remains unyielding, driven by the belief that every life has immeasurable worth and potential, waiting to be unlocked with a helping hand and a heartfelt commitment to making the world a better place.
